UPDATE: November - December Haul + FOTD

Are you feeling that chilly wind? I do. I can't believe it's already December! Time flies fast (even when you're not having fun, apparently). I've been busy again lately. Senior year is turning out to be more than just a roller coaster ride. It's the entire amusement park, actually. Anyway, let's get to the post, shall we?

Since I haven't updated for the entire month of November [Oops!], I'll be mentioning some items that I got last month in today's haul.

Bobbie Cosmetics lipsticks
Date of Purchase: 20th of November, 2014

After watching Ms. Say Tioco Artillero's review of Bobbie Cosmetics products, I became intrigued. I saw a branch that sells Bobbie Cosmetics at Watsons in SM Fairview and I immediately picked up the lipsticks that I adored the most. I will post swatches and a review soon. [My favourite shades are definitely Berry Sexy and Parisian Pink]

From left to right: WnW Megalast Lipstick in "Cherry Picking", WnW Megalast Lipstick in "Wine Room", WnW Silk Finish Lipstick in "Dark Wine"
Date of Purchase: 29th of November (Cherry Picking), 30th of October (Dark Wine), 7th of December (Wine Room)

Let me just say, Wet n Wild is my new FAVOURITE makeup brand when it comes to lipsticks! [PURE. LOVE. ] They are very affordable and have great quality. I don't know why I've been avoiding this brand for years. I wish I tried it out earlier. Both the Silk Finish and the Megalast line perform amazingly well. I really, really, REALLY want to get more shades. The annoying thing about WnW is that a lot of shades are unavailable in stores. :(

My WnW lipstick wishlist items are:
  • WnW Silk Finish Lipstick in "Dark Pink Frost"
  • WnW Silk Finish Lipstick in "Black Orchid" (obtained)
  • WnW Silk Finish Lipstick in "Just Garnet"
  • WnW Megalast Lipstick in "Bare it All" (obtained)
  • WnW Megalast Lipstick in "Stoplight Red" (obtained)
  • WnW Megalast Lipstick in "In the Flesh" (obtained)
  • WnW Megalast Lipstick in "Spiked with Rum"
  • WnW Megalast Lipstick in "Sandstorm"
  • WnW Megalast Lipstick in "Cherry Bomb" (obtained)
  • WnW Megalast Lipstick in "Sugar Plum Fairy" (obtained)
  • WnW Megalast Lipstick in "Ravin Raisin"
  • WnW Megalast Lipstick in "Vamp it Up" (obtained)
  • WnW Megalast Lipstick in "Smokin Hot Pink"
*Sighs* So many lip colours, not enough lips... [Hahaha]

Maybelline Color Show Lipstick in "Plum Perfect"
I've already tried this lipstick before, but in a different shade. I first got this in the colour "True Toffee". I liked that shade, but I'm more of a dark lipstick lover. Besides, I don't have a lot of plums in my collection, so, this is a good start.

Ever Bilena Lip Pencil in "Burgundy"

I don't have a lot of lipliners and I needed a new one, so, I just got this one to try it out. I think it's a reformulation of their old Pro Lip Liners. I might be wrong, though. I'm a bit disappointed this shade isn't really burgundy in colour. It's more of a pink; but, that's okay.

San San Collection Champagne Temptation Blush Mosaic in "02 RSVPink"

This seems to be a new product line by San San. This collection carries face powder, eyeshadow, blush, and lipgloss. (I intend to buy the lipglosses) I haven't tried this out yet. I'll make a review on this.

For my FOTD, I had a simple makeup look with a little twist. I used silver eyeshadow to replace my usual beige or champagne coloured eyeshadow to pair with my neutral brown crease colour. I skipped the winged eyeliner and just curled my lashes, and applied mascara. I also opted to use brown eyeliner instead of black for this look. On the lips, I originally had a nude lipgloss from Fashion 21, but I changed my lip colour and used a WnW lipstick from the store which I swatched. Too bad, I can't remember the shade. :(

I look like I have a tan due to my lighting. :P

Products Used:

Face
Céleteque moisturizer
Collection 2000 Longlasting 16 Hour concealer
Nichido Final Powder
Elf Blush and Bronzer Duo
San San Concealer in "01 Natural" (Used a a highlighter)

Eyes
James Cooper Jazzy Eyeshadow (silver shade)
San San Single Eyeshadow in "Deep Earth Brown"
Maybelline HyperCurl Mascara
Ever Bilena Color Pencil (brown)
Ever Bilena Perfect Eyebrow Pencil in "Dark Brown"

Lips
Fashion 21 Marble Lipgloss (nude shade) [this was discontinued :( ]
Wet n Wild lipstick (I swatched it on my lips and forgot the shade -_- )
Please, excuse my untidy brows and fine lines... :(

That's it for my blog post for today. I'm itching to make some makeup tutorials for Christmas. I hope I can make it. Also, stay tuned for my upcoming November Favourites post!

Green Day: OOTD, FOTD, and Mini Haul

I'm really trying to catch up with my blogging life (as if I actually have one). My last post has just been published and here I am, creating another one. Anyway, on to the actual content.

When it comes to clothing, I am not a big fan of colour. I mostly wear black or grey. On rare occasions, I wear red, purple, or blue, but probably 95% of the time, they are still in the darker range of hues. Brights just aren't my thing and I don't think they ever will be. Today, however, I wore an unusual colour: green. I'm not really fond of the colour green in clothing. In objects and makeup, I guess I'm okay with it. I mean, I have worn green eyeshadow before and I was cool with it. I'm an odd person, I know.

Anyway, this is not really an actual OOTD. You can barely see what I'm wearing. Basically, I have a fitted tee inside and my signature plaid polo shirt on top of that. You may notice how the green somewhat makes my skin look a bit tan. I suppose it's the shade(s) of green that caused this. I normally wear deep tones of green and they don't make my skin look tan. I'm still not a fan of it. I think I will be sticking to my usual dark tones. :P

For the FOTD, I went for a minimalist makeup look. I just moisturized my face with my favourite moisturizer, the Céleteque Suncare Facial Moisturizer w/ SPF 15; and concealed my problem areas using my Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection 16 Hr Concealer in 03 Medium (which is actually too dark for me :( ) mixed with San San Concealer in 01 Natural (to neutralize the Collection concealer), and I set that using Ever Bilena Pressed Powder in Natural. I contoured my face and applied blush using my ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzer Duo. For the brows, I used Nichido eyebrow cake (a mix of the black and brown shades) and I set them in place using Ever Bilena Advance Colorless Mascara. My lips were devastatingly dry today, so I skipped lipstick and applied Essence Cosmetics XXXL Shine Lipgloss in 08 Glamour to Go.

For the haul, I just got three items:

1. Maybelline the Hypercurl Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara

  • I've been meaning to buy this ever since it came out in the market, but I just wasn't willing to spend a lot on mascara. I tend to save on mascaras and splurge on base makeup because honestly, I can live without mascara. However, I still think it adds a nice touch to eye makeup. So, when Maybelline had the promo sale, I decided to get one of these just to try it out. I tested it earlier and quite frankly, I'm in love with it! I will do a review on this soon.
2. Fashion 21 Perfect Stick with Tea Tree Oil
  • This product is not new. It has been around for a few years already. I'm not sure why I never considered buying this before. Perhaps, it is because back then, I did not have problematic skin. I chose this variant because I have acne-prone skin and tea tree oil is one of my regular skin care products. I haven't tested this out yet, so I am not sure if it suits my skin tone. Hopefully, it does. I like stick foundations/concealers, but the ones I have are too dark for me. I've seen plenty of good reviews about this product, so why not give it a try, right? I will test this out and make a review on it.
3. Zen Zest Eau de Toilette for Men in Silver (not in picture)
  • Just a fun fact, I prefer men's fragrances. I just think they smell a lot "cleaner". I own some fragrances for women, but most of the time, I reach for my masculine/unisex scents. I still have a bottle of this EDT, but the spraying mechanism broke and I can't transfer it to a different bottle. I asked the staff of Zen Zest if they have any repair services. They had none, so I went and bought a new bottle, anyway, because I love this particular scent sooooooooooo much! [Haha] I'll probably do a review on all my Zen Zest fragrances once I purchase the EDT in Periwinkle.

Zen Zest EDT didn't make it into the picture because I forgot to take it from my sister's bag. :'(

Anyway, that's all for now. I'm too sleepy to make another post. Hopefully, I can make another one within the week.
