I haven't been an active blogger in the past few months. I have my reasons as to why I had a lengthy absence. So, basically, this blog post is just to give an update (again). I'm writing this at nearly 2 a.m., so I'm not even gonna bother trying to make this entry perfect. Keeping it real.
I've been gone for a long time mainly because I just finished my life in high school. Yep. I finally graduated from my senior year. So, from January onwards, I've been busy attending to my academic needs. I won't go into detail about what happened during my graduation since it's something I wish to keep private. I can tell you this much, though: the past few months have been a roller coaster ride -- and, the ride was not the most pleasant one.

Aside from painting, I've been laying low with doing makeup stuff. For months, I rarely dolled up the way I used to. Practically everyday, I'm either too lazy or too busy to even bother with the way I look. I still don't go out barefaced, but lately, I'm just not feeling artsy with my own face. I'm not saying that I'm losing interest. I've just been really occupied. However, that didn't stop me from buying a ton of makeup [sad, I know]. I'll do some hauls and reviews soon. I mean, what else do I have to do? My classes don't start until August. I'll gave plenty of time to catch up with blogging.
My mood hasn't been at its best state, either. I'm kinda confused, to be honest. I'm excited to go to college. At the same time, I don't think I'm ready. I like my course, but I'm just not so sure it's the one for me. I suppose this is normal for an incoming freshman in college. But what's really bothering me right now is my situation with my best friend. Nothing bad has happened between us; but, he's going to leave soon because he'll study abroad in Malaysia. I feel really terrible. I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm super proud of him! I'm glad that he's happy with his choices. But hey. You can't blame me. He is my best friend. I'm gonna miss him so much. I guess, one reason why I put off blogging is because I'm trying to spend most of my free time with him. I even got him interested in painting, too. Although, he's the one who motivated me to start a hobby. We just didn't expect that it would be painting! [Haha]
On the brighter side of things, just last week, I started getting back into shape. Okay, quick back story: Last August 2014, I hurt my left leg. At first, I thought I just sprained it. As it turns out, I had torn muscles and tendons. For about a month or two, I had to limp around with a bandaged leg. I was not allowed to join P.E. classes. I couldn't even go hang out with my friends. I had to stop walking home from school. And then, even after the bandages were removed, I was advised not to do any strenuous activities for a year. It took me a few months to be able to walk home from school again. My (female) best friend helped me through these times. However, one thing about this friend of mine is that she loves to eat. I love to eat, too. We spent a lot of our time [and allowance hahaha] on eating. We weren't eating abnormal amounts of food, but they weren't exactly the healthiest food options. So, the unhealthy eating habits combined with my limited physical activity made me gain some weight. I went from 117 lbs. to 130. Sad. The even sadder part is that I didn't manage to lose any weight before our prom. That made me feel bad because during our prom in junior year, I was at my fittest state ever. Then, in senior prom, I was just in this sad state of being unhealthy. It's not really just about the figure. It's about me letting myself go in a bad way. Anywaaaay... Fast forward to Monday last week. I decided that I wanted to ease my way back into good health. I started going on a diet. Not a diet that would starve me, nonono. It's a healthy meal plan that would keep my eating habits on the right track. I've cut out the "bad" stuff from my diet and started eating some healthful food. I started increasing my water intake and I also started drinking green tea. Then, my sister gave me a pedometer. I used that to count my steps everyday. I've been doing some light exercises like walking and basic cardio. My leg is keeping me from doing more intense workouts. I'm just going slowly, but surely. To be honest, I'm only aiming to lose 2 pounds a week. However, to my surprise, this week, I lost 8 pounds! Yay! I'm super happy that I'm making progress. I'm also starting to see some thigh muscle toning. :)
Anyway, to sum up everything, I've just been really busy lately; but, now, I'm going to get back on track with blogging. I won't make promises to myself to make one blog entry a day. Again, I'm keeping it real. But I do promise myself to make slow, but sure progress. So, yeah. That's probably all I have to say right now. I might be in the mood to make another entry tomorrow.
Hmm... Another thing, though... I was thinking of re-vamping the appearance of my blog. I'm just thinking out loud. :P
